Free weekly guided tours of the Clean Upper Dharamsala Project take place Wednesdays 3pm at the Environmental Education Center next to the GREEN SHOP on Bhagsu Road, McLeod Ganj.

The weekly information tours offer an insight into the work of the CUDP to the public. Environmental issues facing India, Tibet and Upper Dharamsala are discussed, along with the CUDP's waste-management approach and other initiatives aimed at improving local environmental conditions.

Besides introducing the EEC, the tour includes a visit to the Paper-Recycling Workshop and the Bookbinding Section, where the recycled paper is processed manually into a range of products then sold at the Green Shop.

It is also possible to convene a more detailed tour of our waste-management system the following day, including the recyclable waste segregation centre and the daily business of the Green Workers.

Volunteer opportunities can also be discussed.

Volunteers are welcome to join the green workers on their collection routes, collection trucks, or helping in the segregation center for a day or perhaps longer...
